About me:

I started my creative journey in High School when I enrolled in a program called WISE, a program that allows high school students to choose a passion project. Once I enrolled in the program, I was asked a simple question; “What do you love doing”? I was a 15-year-old senior high school student, and my immediate answer was “watching TV”. I was obviously asked to dig dipper and after several weeks of self-inquiry, I realized I’ve always loved creativity. My mom was a gold smith and as a kid I used to help her create wax models for gold rings. The entire process was mesmerizing for me. I never complained when she asked for my help, I remember it being pure joy.

My favorite part of any class in school was when I was asked to draw something, whether it was a map for geography or a set of apples to visualize a math problem. Drawing, creating with my hands, imagining stories and seeing my mom start her small jewelry shop, attract repeat customers and generate an income from it, was all so fascinating. This self-enquiry process driven by the WISE program helped me get back to my creativity I had lost in the process of trying to fit in as a teenager. I went on to study Graphic Design, just as my mother did.

After graduating college, the deep urge to explore my creativity was very loud and when I landed my first job at Ogily & Mather, I realized I hadn’t cultivated the patience one needs to get to do the creative work I yearned for. I left Ogilvy following the creative rebel I carry inside and moved to Los Angeles to explore photography.

Photography gave me the same feeling I felt while I helped my mom in her shop. I opened a studio in Downtown LA and worked on my craft like an artist in residency. This time was one of the most rewarding moments in my creative career. I Collaborated with actors, Art Directed sets and my photography got the attention of organizations such as The Lucie Foundation. Through my photgraphy work and illustrations I was lucky to meet and work with world renouned talent in the film industry. Through this journey my creative monster felt well fed, well fed enough to explore a “real” job. Once I had allowed my self to explore all the creativity my heart desired, I felt I was ready to report to an office and help brands sell products through story telling.

Since, I’ve had the luck of working for amazing companies and brands such as American Express, Beverly Hills Beauty, GOJA, Canon, and most recently Brightline Trains, Capital One and Jetblue. Utilizing a combination of deep understanding on how to translate business objectives into effective creative strategy I’ve helped generate millions of dollars in revenue.
